We are here…
Trump deported to a contracted prison in El Salvador Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia. It is a contracted prison, contracted by the United States to jettison people without benefit of justice.
Garcia was legally in the United States. In Maryland. He was working, legally, a member of a union, married and with kids. Trump and his flying monkeys or his dementors or maybe his demogorgans mistakenly took the man in the middle of the night from his family and sent him to this contracted prison.
His family rightly goes to the courts. Consideration is quick and a decision that Trump (okay, his administration, but, like fish, rot starts at the top) must correct the error and bring Garcia back is ignored. Then all 9 justices of the Supreme Court (yes the Supreme Court of the United States) agree with the decision of the lower courts, but in line with other decisions regarding Trump, they leave a little tiny bit of room for national security consideration.
That is all he needs. Now, both Trump and the President of El Salvatore agree that there is no way Garcia can be returned. President Bukele actually says something this stupid, “I am not going to smuggle a terrorist into the United States.” Which can only mean that this poor man has already suffered physically in this jail that WE PAY FOR, or is dead.
So, the jungle law of El Salvatore plays into Trump’s middle finger facing the American Supreme Court.
We are here, now. “They came for me and there was no one left to speak out.”
Bring Garcia home whatever his condition.
